I Love My Work!

i love my work! beginning to enjoy the process... i have a great boss who teaches me alot of things and she's very nice to me in person as well.

my boss taught me alot of HR related things, and i learn alot from her. from something as simple as franking mail and learning how to fax, till screening for job applicants, doing the 360 degrees appraisals, doing reference checks, wage increment for employees, refering to the collective agreement, and so much more... i've learnt so much... thru these 7 days with the company. and within these 7 days, i oredi attended a training on the art of service and providing 100% guest satisfaction and a change management training programme. i have obtained 2 certs oredi... heehee...

very happy with my working life... colleagues have been very nice too... but i miss school terribly... i miss all my friends.... gonna make a trip back to school on saturday... see ya guys!

Headache Again~

had a tiring day at work... had so much to do, time passes so fast...

been busy with the annual increment exercise... and had some errands to run around the hotel for my boss... some ad-hoc stuff, and then had to help her with the 360 degrees performance appraisal compilation... i'm so dead tired when i'm home... had headache again... and i slept all the way in the bus...

Exam Results!

huh!?! its sunday liao... haiz... tomorrow got work... i dun mind working... but waking up at 5.45am is damn early... sianz...

aniwae, didn't blog for the past 2 days coz i was so damn tired... my blisters on my feet bursted on friday, and my plasters were filled with blood! eeek... yucks... you wouldn't wanna see it...

had my day 2 orientation on friday... very fun... and i love my work.... i like my bosses and colleagues... at least for now~ haha...

oh ya... got my exam results on friday too! good good! no supp paper! wee~ finally... one more sem to go, and my diploma would be here!

Day 2 - Employee Training

had the whole day of employee orientation training todae... it was very fruitful... learnt so much more abt the hotel and its functions. the part i enjoyed most was the hotel tour...

visited the royal residence... where the princess of brunei comes over to stay, as the hotel is actually owned by the sultan of brunei... my gooodieee gosh~ her bathroom is like the size of my house?!? with the shower room the size of my bedroom, with an attached sauna... and black toilet bowls in the other room, also the size of my bedroom.. plus a bathtub so damn big... and all the stuff there like the tap knobs, sink, toiletbowl knobs, are all 24k gold plated... plus the carpet is sprinkled with real gold dust... and she's got her own personal carpark, direct from her room.. which means that once she opens the door, its her carpark.. goshh..... her whole hotel is so big... she occupies the whole level... i'm so envious~

aniwae, i'm damn tired after my 9am to 5pm training todae.... phew~ glad to be home. another day of training tmr on the art of service...

Day 1 - Blistering Barnacles

my first day at work... was a learning experience of a lifetime...

i was taught on how to update pay increment of employees... and my god.. they have so many employees! then was shown around the operations of the hotel by my boss... it was so awesome... to see the number of people working and how the hotel is being run... i sat in for a quarter of a training session conducted by my big boss... on time management... actually the purpose of being there was to keep the training materials after her training session was over... boss brought me to cafe vienna which is a restaurant at the hotel lobby, which serves international food, and i saw so many VIPs and guests dining... both frontline and backline staff are equally important... and hotel employees are not supposed to take guest lifts and are not supposed to walk in the lobby unless you are of a managerial position or is on official hotel business. hotel employees are only allowed to take the back firemen's lift and cargo lifts. boss also showed me the function rooms, and GM's room... sooooo big and spacious... woo~ had lunch at the staff canteen... food is free, but not bad... its quite good actually... hee... oh yah, i got my employee's id number, and they are gonna make me and id card, which i wonder why i need it, coz i'm only working there for 3 months.

that was somehow my first day at work... but~ i am so beat, tired, exhausted, or wadeva is used to describe being worn out... my feet are filled with swollen, red, bursted blisters, my back is aching due to the constant bending to take employee's files, my muscles are juz aching...

have to attend a 2 day orientation training programme, conducted by my boss... i have to sit in, as well as help her setup the stuff... double work... hee...

dear: i know u are having a paper tomorrow... though i dunno if u will be able to read this, but good luck and.... to me, you are always so awesome...

we've been both so busy, that we hardly even have the time to talk, not to say meet each other... but thru being in love and growing up together with you, you've taught me that being in a relationship, love is not enough... we've got to have the ability to maintain it, have trust, faith, understanding and honesty... we're both working hard for our future, and i know, only you can give me a happily ever after...

Vcd-ing

oops. i haven't been updating regularly... hehe.. been really lazy... and i've been spending my time watching the korean drama "stairway to heaven". it is actually shown on channel u at 10pm on mondays and tuesdays... hehe... but its a 20 disc drama... think if i catch the channel u one, it'd take me a long long time to know the ending. aniwae, i'd only managed to finish 16 discs.... four more to go!

attachment gonna start on wednesday... boo hoo hoo~ gonna be working for the next 3 months...

grandpa is hospitalized... wonder when he will be discharged...

Precious 1 Week~

woo~ juz came out from my bath and freshened myself... had headache juz now, so went for a cold shower... phew~ and time passes so fast. its oredi wednesday todae...

only gotta week for myself... will be starting attachment next wednesday. so i'm making full use of my 1 week...

went with belle, jiayi and shar to sentosa on monday. took alot of pics. but haven't got them from belle... and i haven't upload those in my camera... i'm juz so lazy to do so~

met dear on tuesday... accompanied him to study... and todae, i went to cut my hair... gave the ends a trim, cut my fringe, so that i won't look so lethargic and boring... haa.. at least i hope~ gave my hair a new coat of dye too...

gonna get working clothes with jiayi and velly tomorrow. it was supposed to be a 5 person outing, but it became 3 instead... liang went back to malaysia on monday, and jan couldn't make it. i guess, i'll only see them on mondae when we get back to school for attachment briefing...

oh well~ that was how i spent my past 3 days... haa...

continue to work hard and excel in your studies... i can't be of much help, coz i know nuts about engineering, but i'll be at your side to give you the support you need... the road ahead is tough and its not gonna be easy... but i know you can make it...

Spot!

woo~ went to catch Herbie - fully loaded with dear... it was so funny... hehe... and reminded me of the past.... becoz i watched herbie with my parents when i was young... and it was a good show... and it made me love volkswagen beetle even more.... heeee.....

and dear bought me a cute little bull terrier... he was so adorable, when i first stepped into the shop, the thing that caught my eye was him... the look in his eyes... and i fell for him immediately... wanted to buy it myself, but dear insisted on getting it for me, and brought him to the cashier... and did i mention? the bull terrier is very tiny only... becoz he's meant to be hung on the handphone... hee... so he's currently on my darling 6170... and i've named him spot! took a pic of him... he's very small, so its hard to take a pic... but i managed to take a pic of him within my bedsheets...

its been such a long time since dear and me really spent quality time together... we are either too busy with our schoolwork, or when we meet up, we'll juz go to the library to study together... hmmm i muz say, i'm such a happy girl todae...

Back In Action!

phew! finally the war is over! exams are over and done with! but dunno about the results sia.. haiz... had 2 papers todae, event mgmt and HR.. totally drained by brains out... and my fingers are like soooooo tired from all the writing of those never ending essay questions... and they are 20 marks each! can't they juz provide us with a laptop? haa... guess that would wad exams are like in the near future! at least, i hope!

will be seeing dear tomorrow after 2 weeks! finally! hope to catch herbie, fully loaded tmr... using the free movie money that jie gave me...

going sentosa with jiayi, belle and shar on monday! hopefully with jiayi's doggy... yay!

going off liao~ i'm tired after all the studying for 2 full weeks!

haven't been blogging in ages.... been so busy with my studies... juz had my managerial accouting paper todae... it wasn't that fabulous... juz hope that i can pass....

4 more papers to go.. and double energy for friday... i dunno how i'm gonna make it with 2 papers~ but oh well~ i dun have much of a choice....

nothing much happened lately... juz books, books and more books... and i haven't seen dear for 8 days... and will not be seeing him until another 5 days....
